The acclaimed sci-fi series Cowboy Bebop is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and partnered with Kentex for this milestone. The watchmaker is issuing a limited-edition watch to celebrate the animated series' anniversary. This particular watch is inspired by the series' main character, Spike Spiegel, but what makes it even more special is the fact that only 26 of these watches will be made.

The watch is a testament to the fine mechanical design and quality of the company. Every single detail matters: from the colors resembling those in Spike’s design, every single subdial working in perfect sync, and the hand precision. The second hand even resembles the iconic Swordfish II ship. Additionally, between the numbers 4 and 5, the watch has a calendar indicating the day and, on the 25th of every month, it shows Spike’s characteristic gun: the Jericho 941.

Lastly, each of the 26 watches is unique in itself, as each one is engraved to commemorate each of the 26 episodes of the series. Each watch is engraved with a session number and a tagline for the episode.

This isn’t the first collaboration Cowboy Bebop is entering into this year. Recently, Overwatch 2 launched a skin pack inspired by the main characters of the animated series. If things continue down this path, this may not be the last we see of Cowboy Bebop's 25th anniversary celebration.

Pre-orders for the watch are currently open. The price is set at 297,000 yen, which is around $1,960, including taxes.
