The reveal that the scavenger-turned-Jedi is a Palpatine was a shock to a lot of fans - especially since Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi said she was daughter of nobodies who sold her off for money. Then again, director J.J. Abrams had dropped clues suggesting The Rise of Skywalker was going to walk back on that narrative detail. The film even dropped a couple of visual clues about the lineage twist - including a shot of Rey sitting on the Emperor's throne. Now, fans can see what the filming of that shot looks like in a new behind-the-scenes photo.
