According to a report from variety, Lucasfilm has hired Joby to take over finishing the scripts after Hossian Amini was fired this January. Harold's writing has been far and in between for someone who will be helming the next major project for Star Wars. His record includes Hayden Christensen's film Awake and King Arthur: Legends of the Sword from Charlie Hunnam. This is an interesting pick considering how important Kenobi will be for Disney Plus. The Story originally was broken by Star Wars News Net that Kenobi was being transitioned from a movie into a series and it seemed like the change to the small screen has put a lot of pressure on the project; ultimately leading to the parting of ways from Amini as the writer.
