Petition For Disney+ Original Star Wars Cuts Reaches 1,000 Signatures

Yesterday a petition was launched to ask Disney to release the original theatrical cuts of the first three Star Wars films on the Disney+ streaming service. The petition was made after thousands of Star Wars fans fell for a prank article on April 1st that featured a satirical "press release" from Disney announcing that the cuts were being added.
Since going live, the petition letter addressed to Disney has accumulated over 1,000 digital signatures. It asks for the release of Star Wars (1977), The Empire Strikes Back (1980), and Return of the Jedi (1983) in their original unaltered forms to be made available on Disney+ globally for streaming alongside the current, remastered versions of the films.
