In Fallout, we heard, "War. War never changes." And in Westworld, we heard, "Some people choose to see the ugliness in this world. The disarray. I choose to see the beauty."

Bethesda is back at it once again, but this time with some heavy lifting aid as Westworld writers Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan join up for a new sensation. Under the banner of Amazon Studios and with help from Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks comes a new Fallout TV series.

In a joint statement, the wife and husband duo expressed that they were extremely excited about the chance to work on the famed gaming franchise which has "cost [them] countless hours that [they] could have spent with family and friends." This begs the question of just how complex the series is going to be given the power couple's previous works. From the sounds of it, hopes are high. Written into the dealings is the condition that the show may bypass the pilot stage and get green-lit straight to series if the initial write-up is fantastic.

This comes along at a time when many gamers still maintain reservations regarding whether or not the project will hold any merit for long-time fans of the franchise. Other video game-inspired shows making their way onto the streaming screen include The Last of Us, Halo, Final Fantasy, and Borderlands. A minority are holding out hope since justice was done to Sonic the Hedgehog and The Witcher, so the jury is still out.

All in all, many may renew their Amazon Prime subscriptions to watch the "fallout" of this radioactive Nuka-Cola baby. In the meantime, though, I would recommend taking a Nuka Break to enjoy a few fanmade Fallout shows. Gear yourself up for that long-awaited nuclear winter in the Mojave, and remember to watch out for Red Star.
