'The Mandalorian' Star Seemingly Reveals Release Window For Season 3

Fans are used to reveals where the bomb has been dropped that there is to be something new coming with very little information to go on. While it can be annoying to some to not know any information about what is to come, to others it opens up their minds to speculate on all kinds of possibilities. Even if none of those thoughts come to fruition, it keeps the imagination alive among fans with the thought of “what if?” With the new season of The Mandalorian fast approaching, there has been much speculation as to what will occur, as well as which characters will make an appearance, return to the show, or possibly leave the show. However, the question at the top of everyone’s list is when will it be released?

During a recent interview on The Rich Eisen Show, actor Giancarlo Esposito revealed when he believes The Mandalorian Season 3 would be released exclusively on Disney+:

“You’ll get it soon, I got a few things in regard to that to do to put some finishing touches on what I do, but I believe it’ll be sometime this summer. No date yet, but coming soon”

Even though Esposito might have answered one question in our minds, there are still many unknowns concerning the upcoming season.

As The Mandalorian Season 3 will come after the events of the recent The Book of Boba Fett, it does beg the question if there will be another crossover between the two shows. I am hoping for one. It is true that The Book of Boba Fett did not sit well with many of the Star Wars fanbase, but one positive aspect of it is seeing the return of Din Djarin and his reunion with Grogu. It is certainly exciting to see the two of them speed off into the galaxy on their newly acquired ship.

The possibilities for The Mandalorian Season 3 are almost endless. Personally, I am hoping to see more interactions with his fellow Mandalorians and a possibility of some Jedi involvement. I would also like to see Din Djarin do what he does best: bounty hunting. If the writers of the show were to sit down and think of a way to push the show back to its roots, I would like to think that bounty hunting would be a start. Let’s not forget that is what Din truly is at his core. While he now has a “child” to care for, he cannot fully escape the calling of his previous career.

That being said I feel it is important to go into Season 3 of The Mandalorian with an open mind. Disney and Lucasfilm have proven time and time again that you cannot always predict what happens in a story. They do like to throw in a grenade or two to blow everyone off the track of expectations and predictions that a lot of fans tend to make. Keeping an open mind also has a tendency to open up ideas amongst fans who drum up their love of the series all over again. It gets friends talking and speculating on the “what if” and keeps everyone’s minds fresh for the next exciting installment, whatever it may be.

There is much to be excited about with the upcoming series. With the recent announcement of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor, the news of The Mandalorian Season 3 being released in the midst of these new shows keep the Star Wars community excited for this year. I for one can only begin to imagine the possibilities which come with The Mandalorian. As the next chapter in their adventure continues, I will be closely watching the development of Din Djarin and Grogu.
