Do you love having weapons and killing zombies? Despite having changed hands multiple times, Dead Island 2 is crawling right out of the grave and will be making an appearance on shelves soon! It has been eight years without any real news on this game, but it appears it will be available early next year. An Amazon listing leads us to believe that it could hit the market on February 23, 2023. Since coming to the world’s attention, this listing has been removed, but it nevertheless provided some insight as to the state of Dead Island 2.

The game takes place in Los Angeles, California, with six playable characters and many different zombie types available for the thrashing, shooting, and blasting. The player will be a survivor of a zombie apocalypse who has grown immune to the virus, and even holds on to “the zombie inside.” The goal is to deliver a very graphic, exciting, and realistic first person experience.

This game was first in development by Yager before it was taken over by Sumo Digital in 2016. In 2019 the project was claimed by Dambuster Studios, and is sure to appear much different now than it did back then in the trailers. The fact that we now have six playable characters to choose from instead of four is a significant change. The game is set to release in February 2023; then it should not surprise anyone that Dead Island 2 was unveiled at Gamescom 2022. If you like to kill zombies in new and improved ways in a post-apocalyptic setting, then this will be the game for you (when it finally releases).
