Hey! There’s a busy man out there doing press tours! Collider got an interview with Lightyear star Taika Waititi, who notably is directing a new Star Wars film to be made and released sometime this decade. Of course, with the film being based in the Toy Story franchise and forging a toy line of ambiguous extent in-universe, Waititi is asked about his favorite toys as a child, and he talks about The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jediwhich makes sense as the subsequent waves to ride the popularity. Han Solo and Boba Fett are described as his “must-buy”s. Heck, he even sings the praises of what was essentially an audiobook of Return of the Jedi on vinyl LPs! That’s all in just a single minute of the interview.

Waititi’s next project for release, of course, is Thor: Love and Thunderwhere he returns as director and in the role of Korg. The film had its Los Angeles premiere on June 23 and drops nationwide on July 8.
