Oh it is a good day in the world folks, as a devout ‘The Last Of Us’ fan. Today has been a busy day in the news cycle, in a new report form DEADLINE Pedro Pascal has been cast as Joel Miller in the upcoming HBO ‘The Last of Us’ Series.

The Series is being directed and developed by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin and The Last of Us games' director and Naughty Dog Co-President Neil Druckmann.

The Series is said to revolve around the events 2013’s ‘The Last of Us’ game. The show will be written by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann.

Earlier today, it was announced that Game of Thrones’ Bella Ramsey will be playing Ellie. Both stars playing characters from Game of thrones and being produced by HBO the casting choices make perfect sense.

Not much is known about the full plot of the series for now but with Druckmann writing the script for the show I have a lot of faith that the show will be done right and stay true to the source material.

I am a devout support and fan of “the Last of Us’ series of games, so I am rooting for this show to be as close to the game as possible and I hope that it does not stray too far from the main story and can expand the universe of The Last of Us.
