Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been prepping for release throughout the year, and is poised to make money for Sony and Columbia. The return of Miles Morales and the other various Spider-Men is hotly anticipated, and fans are going over various trailers and other material looking for stuff to find, analyze, and make theories about. This is nothing new, fans have been doing this kind of behavior for centuries. One line found in a trailer has been singled out, as it provides a reference point for a certain earth in the multiverse: the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Miguel O’Hara, the Spider-Man of Earth-2099, gives a quick line about Doctor Strange and “the little nerd back on Earth-199999”. This is significant, as Earth-19999 is the Earth of the MCU, as much as the movies try to downplay it. It was this earth in which the Infinity saga took place, and this earth saw the barriers of the Earths weaken thanks to Strange and Peter Parker. Sony and Marvel Studios have also used Earth-616 as the name for the MCU Earth, but this is not official, as Marvel already uses it for the main Marvel Universe, plus, Sony was just using it as an easter egg in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
