Fans were introduced to Shatterstar and his fellow members of X-Force in Deadpool 2. Most of the unlikely heroes met their end or seemed to in the skydive gone wrong rescue mission to save Russell. The recent trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, however, suggests that the Merc with a Mouth must have made it back to save a few of the members of his team as Shatterstar, the alien from Mojoworld, is present for the vigilante turned used car salesman’s birthday party. Lewis Tan expressed his excitement to return to his role as Shatterstar in a posted pic of himself in costume to his Instagram with the caption, “The most watched trailer of all time, and you ain’t seen nothin yet ;) best fans in the world.”

It's not a huge surprise that Wade was able to successfully bring more of his X-Force pals back, as fans caught a glimpse of him using Cable’s time-traveling device in the post-credit scene of Deadpool 2 moments before Zeitgeist spewed his acidic vomit on Peter to save his life. Fan favorite characters Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Dopinder (Karan Soni), Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), Peter (Rob Delaney), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), and Yukio (Shioli Kutsuna) are all confirmed to be returning for the film as well. Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession) are reportedly joining the cast as Cassandra Nova and a TVA Agent named Paradox. Several beloved X-Men characters, including Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Gray, are lined up to appear in the film. Additionally, Variants of Gambit and Deadpool may also grab some screen time.
