New Set Photos From 'Daredevil: Born Again' Have Been Released

Years after its cancellation, unclear future and a legion of fans awaiting. Daredevil is officially back as the original trio from Netflix’s original series were spotted together shooting scenes for the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again. Charlie Cox will return as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson; they will be joined by Wilson Bethel in his role of Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin.
Some of these characters already showed up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before Born Again. For instance, Charlie Cox made his appearances in Disney+ shows such as She-Hulk: Attorney At Law and Echo. Similarly, D’Onofrio retook his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin back in 2021 for the Hawkeye series. However, this will be the first we see of Karen and Foggy in the MCU.

While it all sounds like amazing news for fans, the reality is a little more complicated than that. Chris Ord and Matt Corman, head writers for the series, parted ways with the project during the SAG-AFTRA strike (which halted production).

The series was planned for 18 episodes, but only 9 were already shot. Unfortunately, the directors for the remaining episodes were released from their duties leading to a complete restructuration of the production.
Dario Scardapane, writer and producer of The Punisher, took on the role of showrunner while Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, directors of Loki and Moon Knight, were appointed as directors. With all these changes is unclear how much of the current material will be used in the final product.

Daredevil: Born Again doesn’t have a release date yet, and it may take a while for it to complete production. We can only hope they are taking their time to develop a worthy sequel for everyone to enjoy.
