'Scream VI' Promises To Be The Most Brutal One Yet

This Friday, March 10th, marks the release of Scream VI, in which Ghostface returns for vengeance in a way that is more brutal and unpredictable than ever. To find out who is hiding behind the mask of this new Ghostface, Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere), Sam (Melissa Barrera), Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega), Chad (Mason Gooding), and Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown) will have to cooperate in this sixth installment of the Scream franchise.

In this new Scream movie, writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick have completely changed the rules of the Scream franchise, starting with the writing of a unique Ghostface, as suggested by the trailers. From the words of Melissa Barrera in the featurette below, this Ghostface is “the most ruthless” and kills people “for killing sake.” The trailer even shows us a very agile, violent, and erratic Ghostface who takes pleasure in hunting down his prey.

Additionally, this time Ghostface will be hunting in New York City, unlike his previous incarnations, such as the one from Scream 3, who preyed upon people inside of their homes as though it were a ritual. There is no better place for a stabbing aficionado, wearing a mask and using the finest cutlery there is, to hunt his victims down. And last but not least, the most interesting aspect of this movie is that, at some point, supposedly, to solve this murder mystery, our protagonists will have to hunt down the Ghostface to find their identity.

Will this new formula be an improvement from the previous movies? Only by watching the film will you be able to learn that.
