The Alien franchise continues to chug along. After four installments following the series’ original protagonist Ellen Ripley, and a couple of prequels, the series is building up steam for its first interquel, Alien: Romulus. For those unfamiliar with the term, an Interquel occurs between two previously established movies in a franchise, as this one will occur between the two most popular installments in the franchise, Alien and Aliens.

After the opening credits showing that Ridley Scott is returning to produce, the trailer shows many types of scenes that will be familiar to fans of the sci-fi/horror series. It features wide shots of space and a spaceship, screams from protagonists who are implied to be killed, claustrophobic shots of the inside of a spaceship, face huggers, and sci-fi weapons, and then ends with a shot of the franchise’s most well-known form, the xenomorph, attacking a protagonist. A video can be seen below for those interested.
