Tragedy Strikes Crew Member On Set of Marvel's 'Wonder Man'

The importance of taking every reasonable safety precaution in a work scenario has once again been highlighted. Juan Osorio, who is believed to have the role of a lighting technician died in a tragic accident on a high walkway on the set of the upcoming Marvel series Wonderman, which will be released to Disney+ on a later date. The accident happened on Tuesday, February 6th at the Radford Studio Center in Los Angeles.

A spokesperson for Marvel spoke out about the event. "Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident." The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has begun an investigation into what happened. As of now, little is known about the particulars of the incident.

This is not the only time recently such a tragedy has occurred. Alec Baldwin accidentally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and director Joel Souza on the set of Rust. Hutchins did not survive, leading Baldwin to plead not guilty to manslaughter charges. A crew member of the TV series Power also died. Several crew members died during a stunt sequence in Morocco.

Victim Juan Osorio was identified by a coroner. He was 41 years old.
