Coming off very quickly from the reveal of the new Pokémon Grafaiai in late August, another new trailer arrived on September 7, called “Seek Your Treasure”. It explores the three story paths the player can take, Starfall Street, the Path of Legends, and Victory Road.

Starfall Street is where the player faces the rebellious students that have formed Team Star, looking to be the Team Skull or Yell equivalents in Paldea. They have several factions with their own bosses, like Mela of the Schedar Squad Fire Crew. They have Starmobiles that may or may not have Pokémon as part of them. It’s not quite clear and it certainly wasn’t revealed here. Auto Battles are mentioned here (sending out Pokémon on autopilot) but it’s unclear whether it’s only allowed on this path.

The Path of Legends has the player encounter Titan Pokémon, which are bosses like Legends: Arceus’s Alpha Pokémon or Alola’s Totem Pokémon. These Titans guard rare ingredients called Herba Mystica. This is how we meet Klawf, a Rock-type crab that can have Shell Armor or the new ability Anger Shell, which when the HP drops to half health, lowers Defenses and raises Attack, Special Attack, and Speed all by a stage.

The traditional badge quest is called Victory Road. There’s a Gym test to take, and the trailer introduces us to Artazon Gym Leader Brassius, who specializes in Grass-types with a Terastalized Sudowoodo. as well as Geeta, the Chairwoman of the Pokémon League and top-ranked among the region’s champions. Two Pokémon identified on the website appear in the trailer are the second Paldea-originating version exclusives: Armarouge, an arm cannon-wielding Fire/Psychic type warrior, is exclusive to Scarlet, while Ceruledge is a sword-wielding Fire/Ghost-type warrior exclusive to Violet. They both have Flash Fire.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be released on November 18, 2022, on the Nintendo Switch
