Mon Mothmais one of the coolest characters in Star Wars. Not only is she one of the central figures of the Rebellion, who also delivers one of the best speeches in Andor, but she also has some of the best outfits in the franchise.
Her best outfits occur in Andor, but that’s because she plays a central role in the show. The white outfit we see her in during Rogue One and Return Of The Jediis nothing short of iconic, since it’s the first time we meet her. Let’s take a look at some of her best outfits in the franchise.

5.) Visiting Luthen Rael’s Shop

In one of the early episodes of Andor, Mon pays a visit to Luthen Rael’s shop. The outfit she wears here is simple. It's a white outfit with a high neckline and thick-looking fabric. A cloak accompanies it.
She also has a silver chain attached to a brooch as well. It’s a very simple outfit, but perfect for her introduction, before she became a true rebel leader.

Mon Mothma attends an event that members of the ISB happen to be present at. Here, she comes face-to-face with Orson Krennic. She is wearing a beautiful white dress with such a cool and interesting rope-looking neck pattern.
It has a high neckline, but exposed shoulders and a cape. It’s one of her simpler-looking outfits, but it’s also one of my favorites.

Even though she went through multiple costume changes during her daughter’s 3-day wedding, this is the outfit she decided to walk out in with her daughter. It’s very regal looking with its long ruched design, low neckline, gold coloring, and cape.
This is also the dress we see her get loose and dance a bit at the wedding reception. She may have stolen the show if it weren’t for her daughter getting married.
2.) Her iconic Senate speech outfit
Not only is this one of the best speeches in all of Star Wars, but the outfit she wears is also equally great. It’s a simple outfit, perfect for this moment in the series, because she’s not trying to make a statement with her clothes, but instead with her speech.
We see her in a long white outfit, with a blue cloak. It doesn’t stand out, which is perfect for the moment. She later casts off this blue cloak when she escapes with Cassian, which symbolizes her rejecting what she knows for a life of uncertainty.

This is probably her most iconic outfit, and the one she is wearing the first time we see her. We are first introduced to her character during Return of the Jedi, where we see her briefing a squad of Rebels on the second Death Star. We also see her wear this during Rogue One. She is wearing a long white dress and has a long silver necklace. She also has her short red hair. It’s a simple one, compared to the ones we see her wear in Andor, but perfect for one of the leaders of the Rebel Alliance.
Her outfits are so iconic that the costume designer for Andoreven won an Emmy for them. Her outfits reflect her Chandrillian culture and her place within high society. This includes her wearing specific silhouettes and a classy, monochromatic color palette. She will dress more simply and minimally while at home. If there’s one thing we can count on with Mon Mothma, it’s that she will always have an iconic outfit, and Andor definitely delivered on that front.
