Forest Whitaker Confirms That Saw Gerrera Will Return For 'Andor' Season 2

Filming is underway for the second season of Andor and while not much is known about the second season of the show fans recently learned about a character that will be in the second season. In an interview with ComicBook.com Forrest Whitaker confirmed that Saw Gerrera will return for the second season of Andor.
While on a press tour for his new movie, Big George Foreman, Whittaker was questioned whether his character Saw Gerrera would be returning for the second season of Andor. He replied by saying “Oh yeah, it’s safe to say that.”

Saw Gerrera first made his appearance in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The character also appeared in Rebels and the Bad Batch before having his first live-action appearance in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The first season of Andor received high acclaim and featured several award-winning actors including Andy Serkis, Diego Luna, and Stellan Skarsgård. While not all of these actors are confirmed to return, Andor season 2 is likely looking to wrap up production this summer with a release date a year later.
