The 7 Best Side Missions In 'LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga' You Don't Want To Miss

After many delays, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was finally released on April 5th. It has been out for a month now, and gamers have had time to put many hours into the game, completing the main story, running around in free play, or doing a bit of both. One of the best things in this game (besides all the characters you can play) is the side missions! Some are ridiculous, but that is the beauty of a LEGO video game. The side missions range from unlocking characters to getting kyber bricks and unlocking unique vehicles. Each one is unique, but some are definitely more fun than others. These are the best side missions in The Skywalker Saga

Free Your Mind

This mission starts on Geonosis where you have to smuggle a Geonosian genius to Naboo. When you accept the mission and travel to Naboo with the Geonosian, you will have to defeat a few ships before you can proceed any further. Once you defeat the ships, you will want to find and talk to the escort ship outside of Naboo. They will take the Geonosian down to Naboo, and Plo Koon will now be unlocked.

I love Plo Koon, so I did this mission as soon as I was able to. Later in the game, when you visit Theed in Free Play, the genius Geonosian will have a puzzle for you to solve, which will result in a kyber brick.

Beats Of Rage

This mission will start on Tatooine, and you will have to be a good way through Episode VI. You meet Max Rebo outside of Jabba’s Palace who asks you to help him to get his next gig on Naboo. Once you accept the mission, you will be attacked by bounty hunters on the way to your ship and in space. After defeating the pursuing bounty hunters and finding the escort ship, Max Rebo will be available for purchase in the character menu for 200,000 studs.

I personally did this mission ASAP, because I love the funky little blue alien. He’s so much fun to play in the game, even if he does not do much. This mission is worth it to hear Max Rebo’s voice alone because it definitely was not what I was expecting the first time I heard it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Woolamanders

This is the third in a series of missions to unlock Barriss Offee. In the first part, you are required to catch a Woolamander on Yavin 4 so the Kaminoians can create an army of Woolamanders. It goes about as well as you’d expect. Once you bring the creature back, you can go speak to Barriss, who tells you that the Woolamander clones are out of control and needs your help to eliminate them. Her character will be unlocked after the Woolamander clones are all taken care of.

Now you can purchase Barriss Offee in the character menu for 100,000 studs. This mission was ridiculous, and a ton of fun. Woolamanders in clone armors are just hilarious.

Rala’s Day Off

This mission will start on Kamino where you find a case of mistaken identity. Jedi Master Yarael Poof has been confused for a Kaminoan Rala De. After your finish your investigation about the whereabouts of Rala De on Kamino, you will head to Coruscant. At the Jedi Temple, we find Rala De posing as a Jedi Master, and teaching some younglings about the Force. He runs when you confront him. When you capture him and bring him back to Kamino, Yarael Poof and Rala De will switch places. Yarael Poof is now unlocked and is available for purchase in the character menu.

Watching Rala De trying to teach some younglings about the Force is very funny. Poor Yarael Poof also looks very confused on Kamino.

Gonk Escort Missions

These seven missions are exactly as they sound. You find a gonk droid, help escort it to where it needs to go, and fight enemies trying to stop it along the way.

I love the Gonk droids, and I’m glad we have missions with them even if they are pesky escort missions.

Doom Ball III

This mission is given by an Ewok in the Ewok Village on Endor. You are tasked with finding Death Star II pieces scattered all the space above Endor after its destruction. After successfully finding and returning the pieces to the Ewok, you will now have the chance to unlock the Death Star ll for 2,000,000 studs in the ship menu.

This mission is awesome, solely because you get the ability to unlock the Death Star as a ship. Honestly, what could be a cooler vehicle to fly around in?

Stolen Knowledge

This mission is given by Jocasta Nu in the Jedi temple. She needs you to get back some stolen holocrons. After asking around, you find out the thief is on Naboo. Once you get there, you see none other than the bounty hunter, Aurra Sing. You talk to her and then retrieve the holocron pieces floating in space. After you return the pieces to Jocasta Nu, she will be unlocked in the character menu.

This mission is a must for prequel fans, especially those like me who love Aurra Sing. I will take any crumb of The Clone Wars we can get in this game.

If you have been on the fence about getting this game, or you have only completed the main story, hopefully, this convince you to spend more time running around, destroying everything, and playing these side missions and whatever other tasks cross your path!
