Harley Quinn will return for season three next month, but of course, that was already announced earlier this month. What wasn't announced, however, is precisely when the show will return. HBO took to Twitter today to give fans a concrete release day. The first episode of season 3 of the animated series will premiere on July 28th.

Alongside the announcement was a short teaser for the new season. Opening in an idyllic forest setting Harley and Ivy are celebrating their two-week anniversary. Harley the ever-thoughtful maniac presents Ivy with a gift, a human-shaped bag, inside is the head of the suicide squad. "Harley and Ivy are back!" Exclaims Quinn as the two pop a bottle of champagne in Paris.

Later in the trailer, the two can be seen aiding a prison breakout with King Shark and Clayface. The two quasi-henchmen express their gratitude and mention that Ivy looks radiant, Harley simply replies that the two have been "busy" if you catch our meaning. The trailer follows Harley and company on a path of wanton destruction proving that this season will be as action-packed as the previous two. The Twitter account for the show followed up by teasing a longer trailer to come next month ahead of the release of the show. So fans of Harley Quinn, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for that as well as July 28th.
