Marvel Studios revealed the first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania during the D23 Expo’s second studio showcase today, primarily for Lucasfilm and Marvel. Unfortunately, it was not released to the public. However, during their segment, they did reaffirm the film’s direct connection to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

After all, they’ve long touted the genuine Kang the Conqueror as the film’s main villain. It kicks off Phase 5, too, and as The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars service a climax to the saga, being part of it makes it important. Then again, being positioned as the start of one phase while the film it’s connected to is positioned at the latter part of the phase after means, there are many more films and television series these days that will be released between the two points. According to GameSpot, the family is sucked into the Quantum Realm. Kang (played By Jonathan Majors) takes Cassie (played by Kathryn Newton, replacing Emma Fuhrmann) prisoner to use as leverage, blackmailing Scott (played by Paul Rudd) to steal again. The presentation also revealed that Randall Park would be reprising his role as Jimmy Woo, last seen starring in WandaVision. His casting might not have been the biggest casting news of Marvel’s presentation, but it was certainly welcome. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be released in theaters on February 17, 2023.
