Netflix Releases A First Look At Upcoming Horror Series 'Cabinet Of Curiosities' From Guillermo Del Toro

“With ‘Cabinet of Curiosities,’ we set out to showcase the realities existing outside of our normal world: the anomalies and curiosities. We hand-picked and curated a group of stories and storytellers to deliver these tales, whether they come from outer space, supernatural lore, or simply within our minds.”

It might be hard to imagine in hot mid-August, but Halloween will be upon us soon enough. To hype things up a bit, Netflix just released the first look at Guillermo del Toro’s horror anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities. After a first teaser two months ago, Netflix now released a full-fledged “First Look” trailer, which also reveals the titles of the eight episodes: “Dreams in the Witch House,” “Graveyard Rats,” “Lot 36,” “Pickman’s Model,” “The Autopsy,” “The Murmuring,” “The Outside,” and “The Viewing.”

Originally called Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight (as there were seemingly plans to include two additional episodes), two of the all-original stories were written by Del Toro himself. The famed filmmaker will also take on the role of the show’s host, show-runner, and executive producer together with J. Miles Dale.

They include Jennifer Kent (The Babadook), David Prior (The Empty Man), Guillermo Navarro (Narcos), Keith Thomas (Firestarter), Panos Cosmatos (Mandy), Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Vincenzo Natali (In the Tall Grass), and Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night).

The cast of the show includes Ben Barnes, Crispin Glover, Andrew Lincoln, Rupert Grint, Kate Micucci, F. Murray Abraham, Luke Roberts, and David Hewlett.

Cabinet of Curiosities will be released on Netflix between October 25 and 28 with two episodes premiering each day.
