It’s time to believe again! The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Ryan Coogler's long-in-development X-Files revival has officially gotten a pilot order from Hulu. Award-winning actress Danielle Deadwyler is set to play one of the two leads, while Jennifer Yale will act as showrunner.
Ryan Coogler has established himself as one of the most engaging filmmakers in the industry ever since his debut, Fruitvale Station, was released in 2013. Coogler is best known for his work on Creed, Black Panther, and its sequel, Wakanda Forever.
Coogler has been nominated for three Academy Awards as producer, director, and writer for his horror opus, Sinners. He will write and direct the pilot for The X-Files revival. Jennifer Yale, a television veteran, is best known for her work on Apple TV series See and Your Friends and Neighbors and the hit Peacock series The Copenhagen Test. Considered one of the finest actresses in the business right now, Danielle Deadwyler is best known for her roles in The Harder They Fall, Till, I Saw the TV Glow, and The Piano Lesson. She’s also appeared in an acclaimed guest spot on The Bear. She will be next seen in the third season of Euphoria.
