Whenever that fresh, new book smell hits your senses, you know you’re in for a treat. Add in some leather binding, gold embossing, and a fancy slipcover and you’ve reached peak literary happiness. What was previously only available in the UK, the Tolkien estate is releasing a special edition of The Lord of the Rings.

Bound in red leather and embossed with gold features, this special edition will feature 30 hand-drawn illustrations and sketches by the author himself. It includes a solid, cotton-covered slipcase, embossed with the inscription of the One Ring. The publisher’s description shows that it is the complete text, fully corrected and reset, and printed in black and red ink. Also featured are 2 maps hand-drawn by J.R.R.’s son, Christopher Tolkien.

The book's design is meant to mirror the look of the original first edition, which, if you want to get your hands on a copy, will set you back a cool $58,000. Nostalgia comes at a price, however. As of this posting, the MSRP for the book is $250. But, it’s currently available for preorder on Amazon for $191 and is expected to release on October 11th.

If you want even more Lord of the Rings, the special edition of The Silmarillion is currently available for preorder and will release on November 8th. Like the former, it is a complete text, complete with two-color text, maps, and hand-drawn illustrations. It also includes the Book of Mazarbul.
