The internet is buzzing about potential news for Tom Holland’s contract negotiations to return as everyone’s favorite neighborhood spider. At the time of this article, Tom Holland is not officially confirmed to return as Spider-Man in any additional properties other than one unnamed Marvel Studios film.

Recent excitement began when Lizzie Hill from The Cosmic Circus posted a gif on November 8 of Tom Holland saying, “that’s right, I’m Spider-Man.” She wished the actor to have “...a great day” and concluded the tweet with a winky face emoji. Hill quoted the tweet and wished Tom Holland a great day. The Twitter user CultureSpider retweeted Hill’s tweet and implied she “was the first to hint at it.” And from there, Culture Spider tweeted “New Tom Holland deal comin’ right up.” Alex Perez at The Cosmic Circus reports that “Holland’s contract does not feature Disney+ appearances.”

While parts of the internet treat this news as a rumor, others believe it as fact, but nothing is being confirmed by Sony Pictures or Marvel Studios. This doesn’t stop the internet from churning out more ideas for potential villains for the possible fourth Spider-Man film. Or even fan-casting particular cameos our favorite web-slinger can be a part of in this upcoming phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
