The Bad Batch animated Star Wars series (2021-2024) may have wrapped up after three seasons; however, the adventures of Clone Force 99 (aka “The Bad Batch”) are continuing in other media. Clone Force 99, first introduced in the seventh and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, initially consisted of a special group of Clone Troopers: Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Tech. Each of them had genetic mutations that made them uniquely suited to their individual specialties, as implied by their names.
Another Clone trooper previously captured and augmented by the Separatists during the Clone Wars, Echo, later joined the group, as well as Omega, a friendly young female Fett Clone from Kamino who befriended them in the premiere episode of the series. The Bad Batch, most of whom are unaffected by Palpatine’s Order 66 and horrified by the Clone Troopers’ order to eliminate the Jedi, were forced to go into hiding, along with Omega. Meanwhile, Crosshair, who was affected by Order 66, as well as a string of bounty hunters and other villains, attempted to track down The Bad Batch and, especially, Omega, as they attempted to survive in an increasingly hostile galaxy under the rule of the Galactic Empire.

In addition to the animated series, Clone Force 99 has continued to make appearances in other media, owing to its characters’ enduring popularity. Dark Horse previously put out a limited comic book series, The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents, and they are now releasing another limited run comic book series, Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch- Rogue Agents, Issue #1 of which is currently due December 31, 2025. In addition to these comic book releases, Random House Worlds also published a novel, Sanctuary (A Bad Batch Novel), earlier this year, set chronologically during The Bad Batch animated series. The Rogue Agents comic book series, like Ghost Agents, will be set chronologically before the series, during the events of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
