The first teaser for Godzilla Minus 0 was revealed at CinemaCon. The movie has received the ‘filmed for IMAX’ certification, and makes it the first Japanese film to do so. The movie will be a direct continuation of the previous film, Godzilla Minus One. The teaser is exciting and shows the return of our hero, Koichi, as well as Noriko and Akiko. Godzilla also has a new form, and could potentially fight a familiar enemy, but that has not been confirmed yet.

The teaser doesn’t give us a whole lot, but it gives us enough to get excited. It has an English voiceover, talking about a strategy that we can only assume applies to Godzilla. We see Noriko, who still seems to be recovering from her injury from the first movie, and has a noticeable eye bandage over one eye. She is with Akiko and appears to still be caring for her. Koichi once again is in a plane and passes through a blue aura that looks to have come from Godzilla. We also see the King of the Monsters himself, with a new form, chasing a low-flying plane over the water. Most exciting, though, is the end reveal, with Godzilla walking behind the Statue of Liberty. So New York City better watch out, because Godzilla is coming for you.

Godzilla Minus Zero was filmed for IMAX and will be released on November 3rd, 2026, in Japan, and on November 6th, 2026, in North America.
