Two New 'Star Wars' Books Will Focus On Cal Kestis And 'Jedi: Survivor'

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, was announced at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim this past May. We also got to see the first glimpses of the game, in a teaser trailer that was released. While a release date for the game is still unknown, we may not have to wait much longer for more of Cal's story. Two new Star Wars books, focusing on Cal Kestis have been announced.
The first is an original story called Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars, written by Sam Maggs. It follows Cal Kestis, leading the crew of the Mantis on an adventure. The story will take place between both games, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The new book arrives on March 7, 2023.

The next one is titled The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. It will be published by Dark Horse. This will showcase the development of the game. It will also show concept art and creator commentary. It will all be featured in an oversized full-color hardcover book. The book hits shelves on May 2, 2023.

While a release date for the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has not been announced, these will hopefully hold fans over until the game comes out. I am excited for the next stories in Cal Kestis’s journey.
