Anyone can get excited with a new Spider-Man story, a new chance to see our friendly neighbor swinging from one building to another. In this new story, Marvel presents us with a couple of past threats, but with combined power and intentions that could destroy the Spider-Verse we all love.

Spider-Man #1 promises to keep the reader at the edge of their seat. With the return of Morlun alongside Shathra, our hero faces what one might call an impossible situation, considering he was beaten by each one of them. Not many details have been revealed about the plans or goals of these Spider-Man villains. Despite the very limited information, it all hints toward a threat to the entire Spider-Verse, and Peter Parker may need all the help he can get.

Not only did a few Spider-People from the same universe join Peter for this new fight, but it was teased that many other variants will make an appearance. Maybe, and just maybe, it all ends in the assembly of massive Spider-Force fighting until the end to protect their respective universe.

Dan Slott and Mark Bagley is presenting an interesting new story. With every complex character the ever-expanding Spider-Verse can offer, this new adventure promises to be one of the most dramatic and epic approaches to the life of our beloved Spider-Man.

There is only one way to know what is true, what is not, and what will be of the endangered Spider-Verse. The first issue will arrive later this year in October, most likely giving fans the chance to dust off their suits. After all, what better excuse could there be to dress up and celebrate the common guy turned hero who taught us that with great power comes great responsibility.
