The Classic Universal Monsters Are Coming To Stunning 4K
Fans of Universal’s classic monster movies are about to have even more movies to add to their 4K collection! While many of these films have been remastered in the past, this will be the first time they have been made available in 4K.
Last October, fans got their first look at some classic monsters in 4K with the release of Universal Classic Monsters: Icons of Horror Collection. The collection featured Dracula (1931), The Invisible Man (1933), The Wolfman (1966), and Frankenstein (1931). This October, Universal is delivering four more of their classic monsters to our screens. While many of these films have been remastered in the past, this will be the first time they have been made available in 4K.
Universal Classic Monsters Collection: Volume 2 will feature The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), The Mummy (1932), The Bride of Frankenstein (1935), and The Phantom of the Opera (1925). Not only will the collection feature the classic monsters in remastered 4K, but there will also be digital copies of each film so you can take the monsters with you wherever you go! The bonus features will include the theatrical trailers for each film, 100 years of Universal featurettes, archived footage from each film, and He Who Made Monsters: The Life & Art of Jack Pierce.
The collection will release just in time for Halloween on October 11, 2022.
Will you be picking up this collection when it releases?
