The year is 1943, it’s the middle of World War II, the Nazis are in Paris, and two superheroes enter an uneasy alliance. A trailer has been released for Skydance New Media’s Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, shown off during the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2024. The first game by the studio, the premise centers around Steven Rogers, Captain America (voiced by Drew Moerlein), and Azurri, King of Wakanda and the Black Panther of the period (Khary Payton), as they investigate the Hydra organization. Inspired by the limited series Captain America/Black Panther: Flags of Our Fathers, this game is set to be an action adventure with an emphasis on story.

The trailer focuses on the World War II setting and the two main heroes, Captain America, and Black Panther. It features scenes of them investigating the activities of Hydra and climaxes in a fight between the two, any reason can only be speculated. It also includes two other playable characters, Gabe Jones, from the Howling Commandos, and Nanali, leader of the Wakandan Spy Network. The game is being produced by Amy Hennig and Marc Bernadin and will come out sometime next year. Until then, we will be on the lookout for any more information, and give to all the true believers out there.
