Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey Getting Theatrical Release

The upcoming horror movie based on Winnie the Pooh, titled Blood and Honey, was initially slated for a late October release. It made sense since when is a better time to release a horror movie than October when all of the most prominent horror films come out. Unfortunately, a concrete date was never revealed, leaving people wondering when we’d actually get to see the silly old bear and his best friend Piglet carving their way through a college sorority. Now we have an answer, and it’s quite a while longer than we thought.
Probably because of the film’s hype, it will get a one-day theatrical release on February 15th, 2023. It is still possible to see it uploaded to a streaming service before the end of the year, but that is highly unlikely. Why go to the theaters and pay to see a silly movie when you can fire up Hulu (or whichever service might have it, it’s unknown) and watch it that way? Also, putting a movie out in theaters is expensive, especially for an independent film like this, so the more people see it beforehand, the fewer tickets will be sold.

On top of the expected American release, the film will also be shown in the U.K., Canada, and Mexico.
The theatrical version of the film will be very telling. If it’s a complete smash, the already announced sequel will certainly also see theater time, possibly not just one day. If it’s a flop, they probably won’t try it again. Why spend the money?
The movie is coming out. Nobody can stop it. Now on February 15th, you can see it on the big screen. The box office numbers will undoubtedly be telling.
