The fantasy/comedy series Good Omens, based on Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s 1990 book of the same name, was released on Amazon in 2019 to fairly decent critical and audience acclaim. Starring David Tennant (Dr. Who) and Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon), and featuring an even more extended all-star cast with names such as Brian Cox, Nick Offerman, John Hamm, and Frances McDormand in it as well, the series is about the angel Aziraphale (Sheen) and the demon Crowley (Tennant) joining forces to stop the antichrist from causing Armageddon. It features various Christian themes and characters, which both helped make the show more interesting and caused some controversy among religious groups. With the first season's success, it was only natural that a second season would follow.

Well, now it has been formally announced when that second season will be.

The Good Omens Twitter account stated that the second season will air on Amazon on July 28th, 2023. So, fans of the original season won’t have to wait too much longer to see their favorite angel and demon pair try to prevent the apocalypse. Hopefully, it will find the same success as the original season, and possibly even lead to a third.
