Diego Luna will not be returning to Star Wars after his turn in the new Disney+ series Andor. The two-season series will mark the last appearance of Luna’s Cassian Andor.

"For me, this is it," Luna told Entertainment Weekly on the possibility of future stories for the character.

Andor set five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, details the rough origins of rebel spy Cassian Andor, and the beginning of the resistance against the Empire. The series follows tales of espionage and bravery as the struggling rebel alliance attempts to bring hope back to the galaxy.

It serves as a prequel to the fan-favorite Rogue One, which revealed the untold story of the rebel spies who stole the Death Star plans for the rebellion. Rogue One ends with most of the cast sacrificing themselves for the cause, so additional story possibilities are limited—even going backward in time.

As for Luna, he is content with the finality of his time as Cassian Andor. "It does have a beginning and an end. Therefore, I can understand it and I can enjoy the ride and kind of picture the aim we have.”

His limited time with the character reflects Luna’s personal philosophy with all of his characters—that the stories he tells do not need to go on forever. “Worry about what you're doing today. Do it the best way you can. Enjoy the ride. Make sure you give the most, and you give everything you have. And something cool will happen if you do that. And, if not, the journey was worth it. So it's about now, the moment."

Andor premieres on September 21st, streaming exclusively on Disney+.
