Disney Releases A First Look At The Cast Of 'Beauty And The Beast: A 30th Celebration' Special

To tease the upcoming Beauty and the Beast: 30th Celebration, Disney has shared a fresh new image showcasing all of the cast.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Beauty and the Beast (1991) being nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards in 1992. For the occasion, Disney is releasing a two-hour holiday special which is set to display a mix of animation and live-action and will include never-before-seen musical performances, sets, as well as costumes inspired by the original movie.

Directed by Hamish Hamilton and executive produced by Jon M. Chu, this movie will star H.E.R (Belle), Josh Groban (The Beast), Joshua Henry (Gaston), Martin Short (Lumière), David Alan Grier (Cogsworth), Rizwan Manji (LeFou), Jon Briones (Maurice).

In this charming and awe-inspiring journey, the cast will also be joined by EGOT winner and legend Rita Moreno taking on the role of the night’s narrator, as well as five-time Grammy Award winner and top-selling pop artist Shania Twain and rising star Leo Abelo Perry, playing fan-favorite duo Mrs. Potts and Chip.

Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration is set to be released on Thursday, December 15, on ABC and it will be available the next day on Disney+ on Friday, December 16.
