Seven months' worth of putting together a story ends up in shelving. Batgirl will not have a release date soon; that's a certainty. Whether the cancelation is an indefinite postponement or Warner Bros. Discovery pulls the plug permanently will be a subject of speculation. This is a loss and disappointment either way. Far from being dispirited though, Leslie Grace (Barbara Gordon/Batgirl) used her social media platform to reach out to DCEU fans, particularly Batgirl fans.

Last month, when news broke the film was axed, Leslie Grace posted a message on Instagram addressing the fans and also praising the Batgirl production team.

"I am proud of the love, hard work and intention all our incredible cast and tireless crew put into this film over 7 months in Scotland. I feel blessed to have worked among absolute greats and forged relationships for a lifetime in the process!" She finishes her message with a thank-you, "To every Batgirl fan - THANK YOU for the love and belief, allowing me to take on the cape and become, as Babs said best, "my own damn hero!" "

This past weekend, Grace upload another Batgirl-related poststs, providing the first and what could probably be the only teaser of what the film would have been like.

With Omar Apollo's Evergreen as BGM, the 15-second TikTok video has 12 quick cuts that include:

  1. Leslie Grace in full Batgirl eye makeup.

  2. Likely a scene from the film where she's being attacked.

  3. Grace recording a video?

  4. Stunt rehearsal for a judo throw.

  5. Grace holding up a smartphone so it's either a scene from the film or Grace recording IRL.

  6. Spot-on fight choreography.

  7. & 9. Touching up.

  8. Throwing a right hook the correct way.

   10. This scene would have been impressive once the blue screen is filled in.

   11. Once more, throwing a punch.

   12. Literally, Batgirl horsing around.

There's definitely more than these BTS Batgirl videos. The hope for Batgirl fans is Leslie Grace "couldn't resist" uploading another one.
