Fantasy fans have a lot to celebrate at D23 this year. At today’s Expo, Lucasfilm showed off a new trailer for a Willow Disney+ series. The series is a continuation of the 1988 film Willow set two centuries after the events of the film.

The trailer opens with brief flashes of combat and romance scenes then shows Sorsha speaking Willow’s name. The next shot cuts to Sorsha’s now adult daughter seeking out Willow’s help. Warwick Davis and Joanne Whalley reprise their roles as Willow and Sorcha while several new stars, including Tony Revolori from Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy, Erin Kellyman from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Christian Slater in an unknown role join the adventure. Ruby Cruz steps into the role of Sorcha’s daughter, Kit, who brings Willow on a quest to find her abducted brother.

Willow has become more adept in magic in the 200 years that have passed. The trailer shows him turning his wand into a flamethrower and releasing powerful blasts of green energy. Sorcha is no slouch in combat either. The series will show Willow joining up with these new heroes to rescue Sorcha’s son with some help from a pair of old friends. The series is set to release on November 30 on the Disney+ platform.
