As James Gunn becomes more and more involved in the DC cinematic universe, he’s bringing those closest to him with him. Gunn, who earned his superhero movie credentials with Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy, and has since created two sequels, as well as creating Suicide Squad in the DC universe, has brought in his brother, Sean Gunn, to play Maxwell Lord, a role that previously belonged to Pedro Pascal. Pascal had the role in Wonder Woman 1984.

Lord, a character who first appeared in 1987 is the brainchild of Keith Giffen, J. M. DeMatteis, and Kevin Maguire. He was initially an ally of the Justice League but eventually did a heel turn, and the businessman became a foe of the team of superheroes.
