'Minecraft' And 'Star Wars' Crossover, 'Path Of The Jedi' Gets A Launch Trailer

Minecraft Star Wars DLC

What do Star Wars and Minecraft have in common? Aside from the fact that both are 10+ years old and have an avid, active fanbase, there's not much. Such frivolous nonsense as 'cohesiveness' means nothing to a game like Minecraft, however, as Mojang always tries to look for new content to collaborate DLC with. Since they're no stranger to story modes, considering their previous release of a Dungeons and Dragons Story DLC, it would only make sense that they tackle the media titan known as Star Wars

Not content with making another skin pack, however, Mojang decided to up the ante by creating a full-fledged story mode. Here, the player plays as a young Padawan, intending to become a Jedi Knight. To do so, they'll interact with a line-up of iconic, Minecraft-ified characters, such as Yoda, Mace Windu, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan Kenobi to complete missions across the galaxy.

Naturally, one can't become a Jedi without a lightsaber, and fortunately, the game allows the Padawan player to build their own. Aside from the usual red and blue colors, players can be like Samuel L. Jackson and have a purple, orange, or yellow lightsaber at their side as well. While a lightsaber is cool, the player will also be allowed to customize a droid companion to tag along with. You know, so you don't get lonely!

If you've got what it takes to master the Force and become a Jedi Knight, Path Of The Jedi DLC is available for purchase, though currently only for Minecraft: Bedrock edition.
