Movie Theatre International, a company that has granted licensing rights to many musicals since 1952, has acquired the licensing rights to Evil Dead The Musical.  This means that theatres around the world will be able to purchase the rights to perform this rock musical.  Licensing availability is expected to be available in the spring.

Evil Dead The Musical pulls pieces from Army of Darkness, The Evil Dead, and its remake/sequel Evil Dead 2 for a gory adventure put to music.  In an adventure gone wrong, five college students accidentally release an evil upon themselves, turning them into demons.  An unsuspecting housewares employee named Ash must utilize his “trusty chainsaw” to step up and be the hero of the story.
