Variety is reporting Andy Muschietti is now helming the director’s seat for the upcoming Batman: The Brave the Bold. The latest film about Gotham’s Caped Crusader is one of the many titles in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s reimagined DC universe.

The film is based on Grant Morrison’s comic of the same name. James Gunn spoke of Morrison’s work as ‘exceptionally influential’ during Gunn and Safran’s vision casting for the next ten years of DC films. The film will explore the “Bat family” narrative, where Bruce Wayne’s biological son Damian assumes the role of Robin to his father’s Batman.
