Tobin Bell Will Return As John Kramer In The Next 'Saw' Film

"If it's Halloween, it must be Saw," as the old taglines go. And if it's Saw, then it must be Tobin Bell. Known for playing the overwhelmingly intelligent John “Jigsaw” Kramer in Twisted Picture's horror-thriller series, it should not come as a surprise to many that he would find a way to reprise the role of the engineering mastermind once more in the next entry to the franchise.

Bell's performances have always proven to be intense. His patient words carry the sharpness of barbed wire as he directs his victims through his games. As franchise producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules noted:

“His performance as John Kramer is part of the magic that made this franchise a phenomenon and his character is an active part of this film.”

To many, Jigsaw is one of the many necessities of the film franchise that must be included even if the character would not technically be alive at certain points of the movie's timeline. Bell's acting prowess as the seemingly omniscient engineer has all but cemented John Kramer’s talents in trapping people in a labyrinth of mind games. Anyone caught is given a chance to escape, albeit at the cost of horrific mutilation. It is a difficult decision when the only other alternative is a gruesome death. All of this is done with the goal of "rehabilitating” them into appreciating their lives more.

Even though viewers won't be able to see his talent until Saw X premieres on October 27, 2023, they still have time to catch up on other movies in the franchise to see his incredible performance. One can only sit in anticipation to see what novel traps the new film and its mastermind will lay out for the unlucky group of people. Whatever the case, it will be intense and horribly gruesome, as to be expected of the Saw franchise.
