The tales of the Enterprise will continue in the third season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds in 2025. Starring Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Ethan Peck as Spock, and Rebecca Romijn as Una, Strange New Worlds has captivated audiences throughout its run on Paramount+. The events of the show take place between the Star Trek: The Original Series first pilot episode (with Capt. Pike) and the first episode (with Capt. Kirk). Strange New Worlds does a fantastic job of integrating elements of The Original Series alongside the development of new faces and modern takes on cultural issues.

And now it's official! Strange New Worlds will be renewed for a fourth season. We’ll see the crew of the Enterprise return for season three when it airs in 2025, and the fourth season will hopefully premiere in late 2026 or early 2027. The first two seasons continued Gene Roddenberry’s legacy marvelously, with everything from Starfleet courtroom drama, a crossover episode with the animated Star Trek: Lower Decks, and even a musical episode. We can't wait to see what executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso, and Alex Kurtzman have in store for us next!

In just the past several months, there have been so many announcements revolving around future Star Trek projects. There will be a fifth, final season of Star Trek: Lower Decks, which took more of a Rick and Morty approach to Starfleet. Lower Decks led audiences through the lives of the Cerritos ensigns and lieutenants, but with less focus on the adventures of lower officers in the fourth season, it makes sense for it to come to a close. There will also be another Star Trek movie on the “Kelvin timeline,” the movies with Chris Pine as Capt. Kirk.

Star Trek: Discovery just started its fifth and final season on April 4. Discovery set the stage for other releases, like Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Section 31, which recently finished production. Later this year will be the premiere of the newest series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. When it comes to making magic with Roddenberry’s timeless adventures, Star Trek fans have much to celebrate.
