The popularity of Ahsoka Tano can not be overstated, and neither can her heroic deeds across the galaxy. She has fought alongside some of the finest Jedi Masters before the age of the Empire and managed to hold her own against impressive opponents such as General Grievous and Darth Vader. Here are five awesome feats that demonstrate her strength of character as well as her strength as a fighter.

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE CLONE WARS AND REBELS

5. Mandalore

Ahsoka is captured by the Death Watch under Pre Vizsla

In the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode “A Friend in Need,” Lux crashes the peace talk between the Separatists and the Republic on Mandalore to expose Count Dooku’s involvement in the assassination of his mother Mina Bonteri. Even though Ahsoka ends up saving Lux from the Separatists, Lux refuses to join the Republic. He turns against her and then seeks help from an enemy of Count Dooku, Pre Vizsla of the militant Death Watch.

In a series of events, Ahsoka ends up losing her lightsabers and is captured by the Death Watch. When Pre Vizla decides to burn down a village and kill all the people, Ahsoka jumps into action. She Force-pulls a spear to her hand and throws it into the chest of a member of the Death Watch. Keep in mind that Ahsoka does not normally fight with a spear.

The fight does not stop there. After recovering her lightsabers, Ahsoka frees herself with a fluent backflip and strikes down the four Death Watch guards holding her captive. A duel against Pre Vizsla follows. The fight ends with her defeating the Mandalorian and fleeing the Death Watch.

Her fighting abilities are further tested during the Siege of Mandalore when she joins Bo-Katan Kryze against Maul. She would defeat him in their lightsaber duel inside the throne room of Mandalore. It is impressive that this Padawan is able to best the former Sith Lord who once took down a Jedi Master.

4. Fighting The Inquisitors

Ahsoka Tano further proves her talent and skill with the lightsaber when she faces the Inquisitors. In Tales of the Jedi episode “Resolve,” the weaponless Ahsoka eliminates her first Inquisitor by deactivating his lightsaber and using it to decapitate the dark side user in only six moves.

This trend continues in her encounter with the Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister in the Star Wars Rebels episodeThe Future of the Force.” Ahsoka kneels down, allowing the Seventh Sister to strike her. At the last moment, Ahsoka grabs the hilt, deactivates the lightsaber, and disarms her. The fight only ends when Ahsoka is forced to leave after reinforcements arrive.

Ahsoka’s encounters with the Inquisitors demonstrate her superb combat skills despite her limited time with Anakin Skywalker. Hopefully, there will be more opportunities for her to show her moves against superior opponents in live-action.

3. Mortis

The Daughter vs. the Son on Mortis

Mortis is a strange place in a universe of many unique star systems. Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka visit this intriguing place during Season 3 of The Clone Wars. Here, they encounter powerful beings known as the Son, the Daughter, and the Father.

Ahsoka ends up confronting the Son disguised as a dark side version of herself in a Force vision. She successfully deflects the Son’s first attempt at swaying her to the dark side of the Force. However, the Son would forcibly imbue her with the dark side, and force her to duel Anakin and Obi-Wan. When she is no longer of use to him, the Son takes her life force, resulting in Ahsoka’s first untimely demise.

The Daughter would revive Ahsoka by channeling the last of her own life energy. This results in Ahsoka’s bond with Morai, a convor that would appear to her in The Clone Wars, Rebels, and The Mandalorian. This owl-like creature would watch over her and aid her in her future adventures.

Ahsoka’s experience on Mortis demonstrates her strength in resisting the temptations of the dark side. The Son is forced to “infect” her with the dark side to brainwash her into doing his bidding as he is not able to use her feelings against her.

2. World Between Worlds

Ahsoka fends Palpatine's attack in the World Between Worlds

The World Between Worlds serves as a nexus for important events that occur throughout the Star Wars timeline. While inside this mystical plane between time and space, Ezra is able to save Ahsoka from her second untimely demise at the hand of Darth Vader. Later, Ezra is left with the grim choice of saving Kanan from sacrificing himself on Lothal. Ahsoka stops him, telling him that she could not save her master in the same way that Ezra cannot save his. Unlike Anakin, who let his emotions get the best of him, Ahsoka shows that she is able to let go of her emotions to do what is best. She then helps Ezra escape Palpatine, who is trying to use Sith sorcery to enter the World Between Worlds, giving him the chance to seal the portal.

Even though it has been years since Ahsoka left the Jedi Order, she still follows the way of the Force. This experience shows how she understands how the importance of letting go and not allowing emotions like anger, fear, and hate to control her. It also makes Ahsoka the only Jedi to escape actual death more than once (and not just near-death encounters).

1. The Long Awaited Meeting

Ahsoka vs. Darth Vader

Fans have been waiting for this encounter ever since Ahsoka appears in Star Wars Rebels. It is only a matter of time before Ahsoka faces the Inquisitors’ master, Darth Vader. The fateful meeting takes place at the Sith temple on Malachor. At first, she tries to avenge Anakin’s death. Using what she has learned from Anakin, she takes advantage of her smaller size and mobility to counter Vader’s brutal attacks. However, when she discovers Darth Vader’s true identity, she tells her former master that she will not leave him this time. She holds no ill will toward him and forgives him for what he has done. Now, she only wishes to save him.

In addition to once again depicting her skills with the lightsabers, the encounter reveals the depth of her character in her willingness to forgive, and her tenacious fight to save her friends. While Ahsoka is not able to redeem Anakin from the dark side (that task would fall to Luke), she will continue her search for Ezra even in the years after the Rebellion. Hopefully, Ahsoka will be able to meet the Force ghost of Anakin Skywalker, bringing her story full circle.
