The 10 Best Moments In The Obi-Wan Kenobi Series
It has been a couple weeks since the finale of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+. The show gave us many great moments of one of the best Jedi masters, and, of course, some heartbreaking ones. I thought the show was absolutely perfect, and I loved that we got to see more Obi-Wan. The series featuring Leia was a nice surprise, as the trailers have shown more Luke than Leia. There were many great moments in the show, but here are the top 10 best moments from the series.
10. Beru And Owen Defending Luke
Beru had a hidden stash of weapons ready to go if anyone ever came for Luke. She and Owen were ready to stand up against the former Inquisitor when Reva came after Luke. This made the Lars cooler than they already were.

9. Obi-Wan Helping Reva
Obi-Wan’s reputation as “the negotiator” is shown during “Part VI” when he talked to Reva after she brings Luke back from the cave of Tatooine. Obi-Wan convinced her to go and start a new life, and that she does not need to continue on the dark path. I think it's beautiful that we got to see this side of Obi-Wan again, a good guy who wants to help everyone.
8. Bail Organa Assuring Leia That She Is An Organa
While this tender moment was not anything spectacular, it brought home one of the messages of Star Wars that you do not need to be related to be family. Rey is another great example of this.
7. Recap Prior To Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Premiere
While this was not technically an Obi-Wan Kenobi moment, it was successful in bringing people up to speed, especially those who may not have watched the prequels recently. It went through all of the moments with Anakin and Obi-Wan and how they got to where they are now, summing up everything that had happened.
6. “He’s Alive, Obi-Wan. Anakin Skywalker Is Alive.”
When Obi-Wan discovered that Anakin was alive at the end of “Part II,” the camera cut from Obi-Wan’s shocked face to Anakin’s scarred face in the bacta tank. This heartbreaking scene was also the first time we got to see Hayden as Anakin again, albeit transformed into Darth Vader.
5. Obi-Wan Breaking Into Fortress Inquisitorius
Obi-Wan truly would do anything for Little Leia, even going as far as breaking into Fortress Inquisitorius (Yes, we know Cal Kestis did it first). Against impossible odds, with Tala over the comms, the lone Jedi found Leia, and they were able to escape relatively unscathed. We also loved seeing Obi-Wan flex his skills in the hallway scene.
4. Order 66
This scene is now in every Star Wars show to date. While it is painful to see, we do get a different perspective each time it comes on screen. In Obi-Wan Kenobi, we saw it through Reva’s point of view as Anakin marched in with clone troopers behind him as he cleared out the Jedi temple and took down the younglings. It was another painful look at Order 66.
3. Anakin And Obi-Wan Flashback
While we did not get many flashbacks, I will take this training scene from before the time before The Clone Wars, and Revenge of the Sith any day. I love seeing Padawan Anakin and Master Obi-Wan crossing lightsabers as they trained together. This friendly spar was unlike their other lightsaber duels which were much more hostile. It also played with our emotions considering Anakin’s fate and the future of their relationship down the line.
2. Return Of The Jedi Master
Obi-Wan spent much of the series reaching out to Qui-Gon Jinn through the Force. I thought it was hopeless, but I still gasped anytime he seek his master’s guidance hoping that Qui-Gon would actually show up. It was not until the last episode that we actually saw Liam Neeson return as Qui-Gon Jinn. How many of us actually screamed at the screen?
1. Darth Vader Vs. Obi-Wan
The fight at the end of the series showed how Obi-Wan’s strengths finally returned, and actually had a fighting chance against Vader. Then, he sliced a bit of Vader’s helmet and you see part of Anakin’s face (similar to that scene in Rebels with Ahsoka). The mix between Hayden’s and James Earl Jones’s voices exemplified Anakin’s transition into Darth Vader and tugged at our heartstrings (not to mention it was very cool).
While Obi-Wan Kenobi show ended perfectly, I do hope we get more Obi-Wan content whether, in another season, a movie, or just specials, I will take whatever we can get. The show was perfect in every way with so many great moments featuring this wonderful Jedi. I also loved that both Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen are finally getting the respect they deserve. I cannot wait to see more of them in the future.
