A 'Halo: ODST' And 'Helldivers 2' Collab Is Releasing On August 26th

During the development of Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Game Studios, the creators, planned crossovers with other games. Killzone was the first collab, but now they’re out to top it.

On August 26th, the Helldivers 2 X Halo ODST Legendary Warbond will be dropping on PlayStation and PC. The warbond can be purchased with the in-game currency, and it’ll set you back 1500 Super Credits. Players will receive the iconic Halo MA5C Assault Rifle, SOCOM Pistol, M90A Shotgun, M7S SMG, as well as armor and capes. Some of these weapons haven’t made it into X-Box’s Halo Infinities yet….awkward. The Xbox’s flagship game appearing on a PlayStation-only product might also make PS loyalists snigger.

Most of the items available in the Helldivers 2 X Halo ODST Legendary Warbond can be found in the trailer released by Arrowhead. It’s packed full of Halo references, including the score, the melee animations, and a nod to Johnstone hugging an Elite. A trip down memory lane.

The pairing of ODST and Helldivers makes sense, as Team Alpha-Nine was dropped into a war zone in pods in a very similar way. Although on Super Earth, ODST stands for “Obedient Democracy Support Troopers”.

Helldivers 2 X Halo ODST Legendary Warbond will be available for purchase on August 26 at 5am PT / 1pm BST
