A New Trailer For Season 2 Of 'Tokyo Revengers' Has Been Released

A new trailer has been released  for the second season of the Tokyo Revengers anime.  A cross between a time-traveling sci-fi tale, and a gangland coming-of-age story, this graphic novel split audiences. There’s not much to love about the down-and-out Takemichi Hanagak at the start of this tale, which may be why season one has flown under the radar of so many anime lovers. Takemichi starts life as a ‘Crybaby’ until he is able to travel back in time. In his attempts to save the life of the girl he loves he becomes caught up in the vicious world of organized crime. But writer Ken Wakui’s main character is realistically written and has as good a story arc as seen in any of the classics, so you definitely get a payoff from sticking with it and we’re expecting big things from season two. The trailer seems to indicate that they are following the manga faithfully and will be bringing the Christmas Showdown Arc to the small screen, so it won’t be short of action!

There’s no info concerning how many episodes to expect but we have been made aware of changes to the roster. Draken’s voice actor, Tatsuhisa Suzuk has been replaced by newcomer Masaya Fukunishi, but as yet we have no word about other additional castings, including who will voice Taiju Shiba. Behind the scenes, Art Director Manabu Ostuzuki has departed and will be replaced by Rumi Matsumoto for season two.

Tokyo Revengers will be released on Hulu in the United States on January 7th 2023 and on Disney+ in most countries starting the next day.
