Amy Rose will be making her grand debut in the Sonic Cinematic Universe in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4 after appearing in the post-credits scene in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. While her exact role in the story had yet to be determined, we now know who will be lending their voice to this rosy rascal. Kristen Bell, known for the titular role in Veronica Mars (which also featured former Sonic actor Ryan Drummond in the episode “You Think You Know Somebody”) and Anna in Frozen, has been announced as the voice of Amy in the upcoming film, and it was none other than the voice of the hedgehog's “boyfriend,” Ben Schwartz, who revealed the news on his Instagram.

Reaction from the Sonic fan base has been mostly positive, with many praising this casting choice based on her work on Frozen, especially. Some have even given themselves a small preview using clips from the film, as Sonic fan Sam Procrastinates did in this post:

No plot details have been given at this time. The film will not only introduce Amy Rose to the Sonic Cinematic Universe but also Metal Sonic, though no voice has been revealed for him yet. It is also unknown if Jim Carey will be returning as Dr. Robotnik. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is set to speed into theaters on March 19th, 2027.
