No, not a game, unfortunately.

The Assassin’s Creed games have ranged in quality throughout the years, but there are a few that everyone can agree on being top-tier. The first ones mentioned are usually the first two Ezio games, Assassin’s Creed 2 and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, but the third game that always makes the top of the list is the pirate adventure Black Flag. Following pirate Edward Kenway as he helms his ship, the Jackdaw, the game sees him in the middle of the war between the Assassins and the Templars. Starting as a selfish man interested only in money, he grows to align with the Assassins and is ultimately one of the best characters in the series. Fans have been clamoring for more Edward, more or less since the end credits rolled on the game, and now we’re finally getting our wish. Just not in game form.

Come December, fans will be able to read a sequel book, Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple. It will follow a modern descendant of Kenway’s as they try to unlock more of his memories through the machines at Abstergo, the modern-day Templars. Per the released blurb,

"It’s time for infamous pirate and Assassin Edward Kenway to take on one last swashbuckling mission! Shifting alliances with new friends, deadly battles with the scheming Templars, and all-new enemies are going to put all of Kenway’s skills to the test in Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple."

The book will be released on December 18th, 2025.

Though I’m still holding out hope for a sequel game or even a remaster.
