'Avengers: Doomsday' Already Selling Out Theaters Five Months In Advance

Some may think the MCU is running out of ideas, but you can;’t deny the box office pull it can still have. Just after a day of availability, Avengers: Doomsday has already generated $16.5 million in advance ticket sales. Sales went online shortly after the first trailer was launched, representing around 4,000 screens. Not included in that list is IMAX, who have already given exclusive access to their screens to Dune Part III for three weeks. Still, with what they have, Doomsday has already earned a respectable amount of money. The film is expected to have a great debut in the box office.
Pre-ticket sales don’t necessarily translate into box office sales, however, Avengers: Doomsday is still looking promising on that front. Pre-sales figures are twice as high as Deadpool & Wolverine first day sales, and that was more widely available in theaters while ultimately making $1.3 billion at the box office. It looks like the Marvel Cinematic Universe still has some life in it yet, even if its future isn’t entirely certain.
